Manhood Voyage


is a transformational summer experience designed for young Black men to reconnect with their roots while developing the mindset, discipline, and skills needed for manhood. Through immersive travel in The Gambia and Senegal, participants engage in cultural exploration, hands-on learning, mentorship, and brotherhood-building experiences that shape identity and purpose. More than a trip, Return & Rise is a guided journey that challenges young men to grow, lead, and rise into their full potential.

Details


  • Departure - June 2nd - New York City - JFK International Airport
  • Return - July 30th - New York City - JFK International Airport
  • Domestic Travel - Transportation from your city to and from New York must be arranged separately.  The $2900 does not cover travel to NYC. 
  • Criteria - Young Men ages 14-18
  • Trip Location - The majority of the time of the trip will take place in the area of Banjul, Gambia. There will be excursions to other towns in Gambia as well as Senegal. 
  • Lodging - All Participants will be lodging together in a rental home in the Banjul, Gambia area.
  • Meals - 3 Meals per day will be served throughout the trip.
  • Passports - Passports are required for this trip.  Participants must submit a picture of their passport no later than 2 weeks before the trip. 

Payment Breakdown


  • $100 - Holds your spot - Deadline - March 28th (Limited Spots; First Come, First Served)
  • $1900 - Deadline - April 23rd
  • $900 - Deadline May 15th (Final Payment)
